3. Entry Deadline: Thursday October 20 at 5 pm.
4. Entry Fee: (Do not mail entry fees, entry fees are non-refundable)
Entry fees are $175 per team and $25 per individual entry. Boys and girls are separate teams.
Please Do Not Mail your entry fee. Entry fees are payable at packet pickup by Cash, Check or Credit Card. Checks should be made out to TAMUCC Cross Country.
*Please Note: Schools who are having their entry fees paid by their District chairman must provide the name, phone number and email address of the District Chairman responsible for paying your entry fees. In addition: If your school requires a W9 form, please contact the Meet Director at:
brent.ericksen@tamucc.edu5. Entry Procedures: All schools are responsible for entering their qualified athletes into the Regional meet. DO NOT EXPECT THE DISTRICT CHAIRMAN TO ENTER YOUR ATHLETES. Each coach is responsible for entering his or her qualified athletes. Entries are submitted online at
www.directathletics.com. If you have qualified a team you may enter up to 10 athletes. At packet
pickup you must return bibs for all non-competing athletes. Only 7 may compete per UIL rules.
6. District Chairmen: You are required by email to send your UIL District meet results form prior to the entry deadline of 10/20/22 at 5 pm. Please submit results via email to:brent.ericksen@tamucc.edu
Further, if you are making payment for your District qualifiers to the Regional meet, you must follow the entry fee payment guidelines listed above to ensure your District entrants are allowed to compete.
7. Packet Pick up: Please see the meet time schedule for your race and packet pickup times.
8. Bibs: Each athlete will have a bib number with a timing chip in the bib. You may enter up to 10
runners for a team however no more than 7 of them may compete. If you have qualified a team
and have entered more than 7 runners, you must turn in the bibs of all runners not competing. Again, only 7 may compete. Please Do Not Crush or Wrinkle Bib Numbers. This breaks the timing chip and you will not get a result! Also, athletes that bring their hands together to time themselves can deactivate the chip. Please ask your athletes to refrain from doing this until they are well past both timing mats.
9. Parking
A. Team and handicapped parking: Teams in vans or cars can park at the Dugan track stadium as
space is available. Full size buses please park in the the grass parking lot located across the
street from the track stadium. The address for the Track Stadium is 701 E. Nile Drive.
B. Spectator Parking: Spectator parking is located at the grass parking lot across the street from
the stadium. Please follow the directional parking signs.
10. Team Camps: Camps will be on the grassy areas adjacent to the stadium stands.
11. T-shirt sales: Custom UIL XC Championship meet t-shirts will be for sale at course inspection on Sunday until the end of last race on Tuesday.
12. Restroom Facilities: Restrooms are located on the backside of the stadium and portable toilets are available in the stadium area as well. Showers or locker rooms will not be available. Please plan accordingly.
13. Inspection of the course:
A. On Sunday October 23rd the course is open for 2A, 4A and 6A teams from 3:00 pm to 5 pm.
B. On Monday Morning October 24th the course will be open at 7 am for
inspection and pre-competition warmups. It will close once races begin at 8:30 am.
Please be respectful of other races that are in progress throughout the day.
C. On Monday afternoon, teams from the 1A, 3A and 5A divisions may preview the course from
3:00 to 5 pm.
D. On Tuesday Morning October 25th the course will be open at 7 am for
inspection and pre-competition warmups. It will close once races begin at 8:30 am.
Please be respectful of other races that are in progress throughout the day.
14. Starting boxes: Starting box information will be posted at packet pickup and available at the
starting line.
15. Meet results: Results will be posted behind the track stadium stands. Following the meet,
results will be posted online at
goislanders.com and at V-Fit production.
http://www.vfitproductions.com/results16. Protests: All protests of results must be received by the meet referee, who is located in the finish line area, within 30 minutes of results being posted.
17. Uniform Rules: UIL Uniform rules will be strictly enforced by meet officials.
18. State Qualifiers: The top four teams and top 10 individuals not on a qualifying team will qualify for the UIL state meet.
19. Awards: The top 3 teams and the top 10 overall individuals in each race will receive an award 30
minutes after results have been posted to allow times for protests, approximately 1 hour after each races start time, awards will be handed out to the top three teams and the top 10 individual finishers in each race. The fourth place team, which has qualified for state will also be recognized but will not receive an award. The awards stage is located on the south end of the track.
